Integrative Counselling in Bracknell and Online

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel significant. You might be wondering what to expect, how it works, or whether this is the right time. Let me walk you through how we might work together.

Initial Consultation

I offer a free 15-minute consultation, either by phone or video call. This gives us both an opportunity to talk about what's brought you to counselling and explore whether we feel like a good fit. There's no obligation and no pressure, just an informal conversation to help you decide if working together feels right.

My Approach

I work integratively, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches rather than following a single method. This flexibility allows me to adapt to what you need, meeting you where you are.

Person-Centred Therapy

At the heart of my work is a person-centred approach. This means I trust that you are the expert in your own life, and that you have the capacity to find your own answers. I provide a non-judgemental, empathic space where you can explore your experiences freely.

Psychodynamic Therapy

I also integrate psychodynamic principles, which help us understand how past experiences might be influencing your present. Sometimes patterns from earlier in our lives show up in unexpected ways. By gently exploring these connections, we can bring unconscious patterns into awareness, giving you more choice in how you respond to life's challenges.

How I Work

I offer both in-person and online counselling to give you flexibility. In-person sessions take place in Bracknell at comfortable, private locations including Warfield (with parking available) and at Moss End Garden Village, Warfield. Online sessions are conducted via a secure video platform, allowing you to access support from the comfort of your own home. Both formats offer the same level of confidentiality and therapeutic depth. Sessions last 50 minutes and take place weekly or at a frequency that works for you.

What Brings People to Therapy

Life brings challenges that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about the path forward. I work with adults navigating a wide range of experiences, particularly those facing significant life transitions. Perhaps you're moving through a midlife crossroads, questioning long-held beliefs about yourself, or sensing that old ways of being no longer fit. I work with both men and women, and whilst I have particular experience supporting women through the physical and emotional shifts of perimenopause and menopause, my practice welcomes anyone seeking support during times of change and growth.

I also support people exploring relationship patterns, whether that's people-pleasing tendencies, difficulties setting boundaries, or repeating dynamics that leave you feeling drained. Some clients come seeking greater self-awareness, wanting to understand themselves more deeply. Others are working through existential questions about meaning, purpose, and identity. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. Sometimes the most powerful work happens when we create space to explore before things become overwhelming.

Ready to Talk?

If you're considering counselling, I'd welcome the opportunity to talk with you. The free initial consultation is a chance to ask questions, share what's on your mind, and see if we might work well together.
